Our mission is to help restore the biodiversity and carbon-capturing potential of rainforests.
Since June 2020, we’ve committed to planting two trees for every pair of sneakers we sell. Our work starts in the Brazilian rainforest, where only 12.4% of the forest floor remains following widespread urbanization and agricultural logging. With the goal of restoring biological diversity in this essential biome, we plant over 120 tree species, based on what’s native to each site.
Upper + Lining: Organic cotton canvas

Insole: Cork + bio-based foam (from mamona oil), embossed with the CARIUMA logo

Comfort and style
Fell in love with the colour cocoa nib for fall and am pleased with how versatile it is. I typically wear an 8 wide, and so I sized up to 8.5 and am finding the fit comfortable right from the start without having to break them in.

Excellent, Stylish, Comfortable, Sustainable shoes
I got these to replace some converse low tops I love the style of, but wanted something more durable, sustainable and still timeless as converse/Vans. These combine the beefy upper of Vans with the subtle, but stylish nod to Converse with the toe cap. Very pleased with the outsole being stitched on. This is unheard of for casual footwear. Very comfortable, and ample atch support compared to the aforementioned shoe brands, while being much sturdier. Even the laces with metal aglets and thick material are premium quality. With a $30 off coupon and multiple 15% off coupons, Cariuma is trying to make these more accessible to more people, too. These shoes are awesome, as is Cariuma.
